Plan a fun filled day at the Croton Gorge Park.  This 97-acres facility offers open lawn areas for picnicking, hiking through the woods, fishing in the Croton River, a playground, and numerous nature trails.  Noted as a historic site, the Croton Dam (picture to the left) is the largest hewn-stone structure in America, 297 feet high, 2,168 feet long, with a capacity of 30 billion gallons. It holds the title of the second largest hewn-stone structure in the world, the largest being Egypt's Great Pyramid.
